Hunted Sat. and dug a neat little gold plated pocket watch along with a 46 dime, and several bullets, and a silver pendent or necklace? Sun. I hunted with my buddy John and we did ok. I dug a smashed eagle button, a flat button and a spur. Also a brass item that I have yet to identify. We dug several bullets also. enjoy the pics.

Nice going. Is this a new site? Can you tell about finding it. I would love to find a CW site.

Hi Ed, actually this site is close in proximity to our main camp. We suspect it is another picket post, it's use being to protect the main camp from a blind spot on the next hill. When you are hunting a camp site you should be able to find the smaller observation posts in the same vicinity.

Very Excellent find's Tsgman,I've got a few place's up here at Antietam but don't have the time like I would want to search for the "picket post".All the farm's are under a "no build law" so there not going anywhere.Great job again guy's and keep em' comin'...the CW is awesome!!

Hi Joe, That brass handle thing is void of any scripting, it's a mystery! I will eventually find out what it is.
Seeker, that is a really nice looking watch found!
Civil, Hope you can get out with some good weather behind you. Tsgman

Nana, I have not checked out the pendant really, I was surprised how deep it was and at first thought it may be old but, after I cleaned it off it looks like a modern piece. I still need to find out if the pocket watch is period or not. Tsgman
