got out of jury duty at 12 today so what to do? go back to work, or hunt the church built on the ol amusement park site ::)........thats right ;D hunted the church! it is built on a site that was an amusement park around 1890 to 1934. i only found 1 old coin .........a 1919 wheat. seems like others have hit this place hard over the years. i did find an old dog tag and a cool token. if anyone has any info on it i would love to hear it! i haven't been able to come up with much on my own. i also found my first half! too bad it is about 100 years newer than i wanted! :'( a 1973 Kennedy half. i also found a gold ring but let me put that one in another post. i probably cant fit all the pics in one post.

If you do find the owner, make sure and get some pictures of the ring and of you returning it to him, also see if your local paper is interested in doing a story on it....good luck and I hope everything turns out for the best...thanks for sharing...... :)

i can understand why a lot of guys would call the paper, but for me, i dont care much for being in the spotlight. being in the paper would be kinda uncomfortable for me...........but thats just me. ;)

Great finds,
Anne Steele was the daugh?ter of William Steele, a tim?ber mer?chant who was al?so a lay preach?er at the Bap?tist church in Broughton. She lost her mo?ther at age 3. At age 19, a se?vere hip in?jury made her a life?long in?val?id. At age 21, her fi?an?c? drowned the day be?fore they were to be mar?ried. From this ser?ies of tra?ge?dies rose 144 hymns and 34 ver?si?fied Psalms, which were enor?mous?ly pop?u?lar.

Must have been some sort of anniversary for Annie to make tokens.
