Keep saying, for the last two years, I'm going to start
spending more time hitting parks, teardowns, and
what have you to spare the wear and tear on this
body.

So.............

Out to the woods this morning.

Came across another dropped antler, 3rd this year.

Found a very small foundation where this was all found.

Large bottle 8 1/2 inches tall, has a pinkish tint to it.
Side markings only "PINT/FULL MEASURE". At first I
did not think anything on bottom, but after washing a
bit, very faint PAT AUG 1 1898. Also has something
starting with "DEST" and 3 or 4 letters after that. Has
a seam up the side but only goes up 6 1/2 inch's, not
into neck of bottle.

Small blue bottle with the cap on is a Bromo.

Round metal piece has "GRISWOLD/ERIE,PA.,USA"

Other misc items.

Had a good morning in the woods. Next week for staying
closer to the towns ;)

all have a good un.

Hey, Sherm....in the woods again, I see. You found some interesting stuff. :)

FYI: Griswold was a company in Erie that made cast-iron pans. They're very collectable.

If it's any consolation Sherm, I have had to spend more time hitting the "usual" places than I would prefer. Out of the way or remote sites are becoming harder and harder for me. I hope some of this shortness of breath goes away after getting my ticker fixed. Then there is the arthritis in my knees and my back injury, both of which make it hard to get up and down as you have to do in this game. Is that violin music I hear? :D But I am going to hang in there and go "prospecting" (as my wife calls it) every chance I get. The exercise is helpful for an otherwise sedate life style too. Heck, I may live forever if I don't die! ;) Those are some nice finds , looks like you did some "eyeball" hunting as well. Monty
