Summer finds: Some silver, rings, tokens.. and a seated dime.

Haven't posted much lately, been busy working and detecting, but thought I'd share some of the better finds I got this summer. Most have been in local parks and some older abandoned homes in the area. Got the 1854 Seated Dime in an abandoned home built in 1876. It had been hunted out, but somehow they missed the dime in only 3" of dirt. As they say, nothing is ever "hunted out". (but never did find anything else).

So far for my first year detecting, I've found 7 silver coins and a silver ring, about 25 wheats, 1925 Buffalo nickel, and about $50 in clad. (which I don't really hunt). I mainly use an Ace 250 or Xterra 50, so for those who are new detectorist and think you need to spend lots of $$ on the best machines, get to know the basics first, there is plenty out there for you to find with a starter machine. (Research is free and makes up the difference).
