I have found plenty of coins and buttons in fresh water. Looks more like the water those were found in was distilled!

They are all very nice, but I have to disagree with the buttons being Pewter? (your waters good, but not that good that it can change history)

They are 100% without a doubt pewter buttons.

Thursdays finds. The three coins where in a group on top of each other. The top one is nice but faded, the second one was even better and the third is mint. I have never found one so nice because they are such thin copper. Two large Royal Navy Pewter buttons-Maker Nutting &Son Covent Garden, London-circa 1805. You have to love fresh water!!

They are pewter for sure I've found hundreds, they come in this large size and a medium size...same maker. Just rub them with a bit of brasso and they shine right up.
