Went back to a park we hit pretty hard last year and earlier this year and had nabbed some keepers. Last weekend, I dug the injun, about 5 to 6 inches and also a 46 wheat. The 1919D merc was about 5 inches with a nice nail to go with it. Both the 1910 and 20S wheats were about 3 to 4 inches, both also with a couple nails. My first dig today was only going 2 ways on zinc, which usually means nail. I dug anyway, and at about 4 inches out popped a nail, but also the indention of a coin. I search the hole a little longer, and out comes a nickel? I must have just picked up the nail with the 2 beeps, and was just lucky enough to have a 1920 buffalo to go with it! :icon_thumright:

Thanks for reading, good luck and happy hunting to all

I forgot to ask this in the post, but does anyone know a good way to clean nickels? If its possible, I'd like to get the rusty orange color off but I don't know exactly what to do. Any help is appreciated
