Finally broke into the 1700's ~ George II halfpenny / 3 silvers to boot

Saturday I was pretty stoked with the 1813 Halfpenny I had found at my new site ! ( My second oldest coin found ! An 1803 matron head being my oldest ) I was excited to return but Sunday we had company and went to the beach so this morning I was up and eager to hunt !! It started out slow with a couple of wheaties and then I hit a spot with some really deep lead and then some pieces of narrow copper strapping real deep so I slowed way down and worked this area SLOW ! and got a weak but repeataple signal and 8 to 9 inches later I was holding another Halfpenny ! and doing the HAPPY DANCE :laughing9: :laughing9: This coin was deeper than my last copper and more worn ! I was praying I could identify it when I got home cause I just had that feeling it was a 1700's copper !! I kept searching and turned up a Big Ben silver half dollar some more wheaties and a 39 merc and then the nice .925 silver money clip ! Not a bad morning ! It turned out I had some old wheaties too a 1909, 1910, 1917, 1940, 1941. and a 1946, when I got home I just dry cleaned the 1/2 penny gently with a toothpick and a Q-tip and quickly could make out the left facing bust of George on the obverse but could get no detail off the reverse ! I believe I have Id it corectly ?? King George II Halfpenny circa 1740~ 1754 !! If not experts please chime in !! Thanks for looking !! MaineRelic

One things for sure, IT's older than a 1803 Draped Bust.

Well it may be tough to beat this date but I do have hope ! there was a small battle between the british settlers here and the french and Indians in the late 1600's not to far from where I found this coin !!
