unusual as in i live in the UK not the USA.
on a field today with my mate.
was there about an hour when i found this tiny coin.
its a seated half dime 1853.
i've also found a indian penny and a silver 3 cent piece on this field.
liverpool(where i live) had close ties with the slave trade,maybe this field had something to do with that.

That's a beauty too :o I found one last year and almost tossed it thinking it was something else. Hard to say when that was lost. Maybe you can take some better pics and repost them. Looks like it will be a good grade (VF) or fine :thumbsup:
