Hammered gold and silver coins from UK trip

From the land of the Bluenose...just a few photos of the finds from my UK trip. Everything from circa 50AD to modern as the venues from dig to dig varied. Have been approached to write an article for a UK treasure mag which was unexpected....working on it!

Looks like a Quarter Noble, only got 1 of those & 1 Half Noble - Medieval hammered are rarer to find than Celtic Gold.

Also, looks like a shilling (maybe halfcrown) of Charles I, if so good hammered find Strange you had no small hammered

What a road trip !! That is one beautiful hammered gold coin , Leslie ! The other finds are great as well . How long did you hunt in the UK ,and could you tell us a bit more about finding the gold piece . Ouarter Noble I for one would like to read about the details .What a rush it must have been , to see the gold coin , in the dirt
