Now that is a very unusual find - I'm really sure I've never seen one of those on here before.

Awesome! :icon_thumleft:
It would be wicked cool if you could get it working (unless it's already functional?)

Not functional now, I will take a look at putting it back together properly,
I know that modern ones (toys) use a glitter wheel, best description.
that conical lense may be prismatic itself. thanks for the idea!

thanks Mr Tuff,
The toy was in one piece when found, upon disassembly, only the 2 lenses shown were inside, was the colored glass in chip form that may have fallen out over the years? I took it apart at my workbench, so no parts were lost after recovery.
Good day, Herbie.

Hey Herbie, that's really cool find there! :o I've never seen one that old before and in great condition too. Are there any markings on the scopes body? :icon_scratch: Probably not other wise you would've mentioned them . . . I wonder if those brass ones were American or British in origin?

I found this one one the internet, it looks similar but longer of course. I wonder if yours was made by a sailor for their child from spare parts found onboard a ship?
