Digging in Way Wrong Places

i went out yesteday afternoon with my detector, hoping for a little find,

well my luck would have it, all i found was about 30 bottlecaps from last year or this year .. someone had a party i think.
and i allso found a old Horseshoe. not worth keeping. no pics sorry guys.

i will go out in the week-end again and then we will se if i have better luck ..

If the area is old and promissing it might be worth digging through all that surface trash to get to the good stuff below!

i make sure if i find trash to pick it up and throw it out in the trashcan so the ground is clear to go over again ..

If you found a horseshoe that should give somme indication to the age of the area you are hunting....so it might be worth it to take a relook....Good Luck!

Hey USTiger just as soon as I saw your title to this post I knew it was for me.

Hunting wrong places is a way of life for me. You should see my collection of square nails! :o

As for the old horseshoe, believe it or not people collect these. In fact there are even museum displays of horseshoes. I've sold several of mine on ebay for good money.

Keep hunting, and more importantly, doing research. If you get really good maybe you too can have a great square nail collection ;D

I still have the horseshoe .. dident clean it up yet .. but i will later today and then i will post befor and after pic..

Keep digging friends.. we will all have our bad days but we will probely allso have the good ones..
