Need help on ring markings

Hey guys, I dug this ring on the north shore of Long Island last week and I cant figure out the marking before the B. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking and keep on diggin. The rooster

Looks to me to be an upright torso with head facing forward and left arm hanging to side. Anyone else see that? HH.

Not Japanese , Just check with my secretary, May be old style Kanji.." Chinese writing," but nothing that was familiar to her.. Anyway, Great find
