Pretty good after work Saturday evening hunt ! Except I have no camera ! The Mrs has both of them out of town ! Well at least I got to Play ! LOL ! The silver thimble is a first for me ! The large cent is an 1825 in pretty poor condition ! I also found a small brass coin bank shaped like an Myan ? Aztec ? temple ! and last but not least the nice old looking leaf winged style brooch ! Thanks for checking in ! MaineRelic Found the camera after talking to the MRS. She straitened me out ! M.R.

Really nice finds MR. Just an FYI - that's not a Mayan structure.

I don't think that building is a Aztec temple ,it looks more like the building that the Statue of Liberty sits on? :icon_scratch: I've seen it before somewhere.

Was there anything else in the same hole as the large cent? By the spot on the back, there should have been another coin in that hole, better recheck it if you can find it again! Sweet finds!

Could be a rook from some sort of chess set too...but I agree it looks like the base for Lady Liberty

Is that a Lead ANCHOR? That's definitely what it looks like and if so, is a GREAT FIND! I love finding lead that has been fashioned into chess pieces, and soldiers, dogs, etc. Ive found alot of carved lead in the civil war camps over the years.....and have to say, that's one terrific piece there that I would definitely love to have in my collection. CONGRATS!!! :headbang: :hello2:

Nice finds Mainerelic. I agree with Josh and Jeff that anchor is probably your best find of all of them. I have one I dug a few years ago. Those pieces tell a great story. Stay safe out in the woods. :icon_thumright:
