Found an 1801 Draped Bust Large Cent today. The back is in much better shape than the front. I nearly wiped off the date. ::) Also found a couple of flat buttons, one with some nice gold gild. Found a 1905 IH and even some silver.

Nice finds. That's a dandy of a button. :D

Any chance there's a mint mark on that 1916 merc. ::)

No mint mark on back. Didn't realize the 1916D is a rare date. :P

Still an awesome find.

If I had found that I would be a rich man. When I saw the date I would have also picked up a gold brick. :D

That button is terrific and the Draped Bust is great as well! I have when they come out with one side worn like that....usually the side facing up, we getum many times the same way around here. No matter though, still a respectable piece of copper and that button is really nice too!

Nice Finds! Congrats on the LC and the button!

I found the '16 Merc this year too.....also with no mint mark ??? Amazing to think that a little "D" on that dime can change the value by over $1000.00 isn't it?

Congrats again!
