Finally got a free moment to try out the new explorer II....what a great machine. I will be the first to say I have a long way to go as far as learning all of its features, but there's nothing like having a blast while you learn. As for the things found....I went back to a old ball field I have detected in the past and found the siam silver ring at about 6" and the small maybe silver ring (no markings) at about 4-5". Then went to a river swimming site I have been to several times and found the gold ring at about 3-4" and the tiawan silver ring at about 2'. Of course it could have been dumb luck and I missed them the first 50 visits, but then again it could be the minelab.....good lick all, gregd573

Thank you all.......it was a long day and maybe it will make up for the last month of less than a dollar days. (in clad no less). Got a few places to try out in the next few weeks. Here's hoping all your days will be filled with great goodies.....keep on swinging, gregd573
