Exhausted known resources trying to track down the owner of this ring. Found at the old Burtonwood AFB in England. I have searched the Notre Dame yearbook for 1948 with no success and the Notre Dame registrar says it is not a Notre Dame class ring. Have also researched many Notre Dame High Schools with no success. Have also looked for possible Seminary's related to it. Maybe some of you with military connections or other resources can dig in and help. The initials inside the band are DEM. Would make for a great story. Here is a video with more information. Here is a link with the whole story and I hope it's ok to put it here since it's from the UK. If not please just remove the link or let me know and I will. http://www.metaldetectingforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2491
