Cleaned Pix !! NH Militia Button

Bought a jar of old buttons at a yard sale this summer,
found two nice Scovilles, donated one to the local Historical Society.
Pulled a black lump while hunting today, recognized it right away,
Did a hot peroxide soak for 30 minutes & took a chip off the back,
backmark looks identical to the one I have.
I think this 'toasted' find will clean up nicely

An overnight peroxide soak loosened the crust,
Wish that all my crusty finds cleaned up this nice.
Most details are intact, the staining is a shame,
Guess I'll just break out the brasso & wirewheel
I find it amazing to dig an exact Duplicate of the Purchased Button.
