I think what you have their is an old copper(?) spoon handle made into a ring...that might be old.

Thanks FloodCityKid, I was thinking spoon handle ring too. I'll like to know what that object is at the lower left of bottom picture. BTW I just added that bottom picture to this post.

Yeah I believe you guys are right. I haven't gotten around to cleaning it up yet, but hope to in a day or two. I'll post a pic if it comes clean enough.

Great finds. That spoon ring is a fun find. Of coarse there is not much other than gold that gets your heart racing as you are digging and see that shine of silver down in the dirt, Congrats on your first. Thanks for posting

Thanks ddjames, ArkieBassMan, Lookn4seated and Indiana Digger, Here's a couple of pics of that ring after I cleaned it up a little. It look's like a setting may have been glued to the facing, but is missing now.
