I think I'm addicted to metal detecting! I was back at my favorite park for another try. It's just amazing at what is still left in the ground in Golden Gate Park, even after hundreds of detectorist all these years. I've noticed that if you stay out of the obvious areas and try and find those out of the way small patches of lawn you'll have a better chance. Today I dug 6 wheat pennies and one Mercury Dime (1942-D). Clad was $ 3.03. It just makes you wonder on how many silver coins are still to be dug in Golden Gate Park, probably thousands!
