Returned to the ghost town for an hour or so yesterday and a couple hours today...
Finally back in the field with the Etrac, although the Se has done well,it is nice to have my partner back
One find in particular really made my day, nothing earth shattering by monetary standards, but the kind of piece that I enjoy finding, below you will find pictures of my recoveries and some info on my treasures...enjoy and HH Soup

Scott,
Thanks for writing. What an interesting find! That is a moderately common
"counter"--a gaming token. Presumably it was used like a gambling chip.
It was probably made in England, but I don't know if there is positive
confirmation of that. There is a rare version that has CALIFORNIA across
the top of the reverse.

Thank Bula, the pics were actually just for reference, not the actual token I dug cleaned..I have corrected that by adding text to the pics, thanks for pointing that out...I wish I could make it look like that :laughing7:,but it has some character all corroded up like she is..

What is the deal with all the great relics up in those Illinois fields? Merf on Tnet also makes a killing in those fields.
Drunk farmers with holes in their pockets dropping things I'm guessing? :tongue3: :dontknow:
I'm drooling down here! :laughing9:

Doug,
Drunk farmers,so that's why all the rows weev back and forth..and crop circles, wont start on that. :laughing7:

Merf does tear up the fields,he is way north of me I think, kicks my butt from what I have seen, except for the eagle plate, dont believe he has one of those ;D
In all seriousness,I just started field hunting last year,What a different hunter I have become since then...
Take care Oh and nice tin (can) roof on that Museum  <thats my thumb hurting>

Very nice Soup. As to CW relics recovered in Illinois, there were a lot of Illinois Regiments and soldiers in the Union Army. There were over 1,200 soldiers of the 104th and 106th regiments camped only 5 miles from where I live in middle Tennessee. HH, Quindy.
