i haven't really metal detected lately. finanicial and family problems have kept me home. this is the last spot i hunted. i drove by and it looked really good, can't believe i hadn't seen it before. acres and acres of fields and woods that i don't have ever been touched. this about a 10th of what i found. i will dig up more of the goodies later. this about 4-6 hours of time spent there and i broke my copper record getting up to 38 coppers for the year. also found a couple nice silver pieces and silver spoons. so for the lack of proper capitals, my shift key is broken. about 50 % of my bottles were found there. also, i'm really, really curious if anyone can tell me what the medal/badge thing is...it says 'KR' and twenty fifth...

really looking to crushing this spot next year

I don't know about the other diggers on here, but looking at what you have found and describe sounds like an occasional dream I have, really. Open fields of virgin ground with relics just waiting to be found.

I hope your problems go away so that you can get back out into your little bit of heaven.

If I were to just walk the perimeter of the fields on one side it's almost 2 miles. There are fields on both sides and then more further down the road that I'm guessing is about 3/4 a mile in the length. Then there are the woods all around full of dumps. Once you get through those woods you get into more fields, larger fields that I know have been in use at least the 1700's.

Aside from the MA button, this may be my favorite piece. He's been soaking for a long time, that's why I have so much gunk on my hand. He was a big ball of rust when I dug him out. Next, I'm going to go to work on the gun.
