I Dug A Rare Rattlesnake Button Today

I went back to an old site today and found these relics.
The one piece button is silver plated and measures 24 mm's.
It has a good solid shank also.
13 stars and stripes, rattlesnake border with 13 rattles.
This variant is unknown to me.
    Thanks for looking..

you should send pic's of the button to Mark Parker at W/E/T mag. maybe it will make his page. at least you will get a letter with a possible attribution as to the maker and estimate of value. I found a different one and did the Parker route and sold it for 700.00 Mine was missing the shank and no gilding left

Your button is outstanding,I have never seen that variant.
You should send it to Don Troiani for his new book.

Id like to see a pic of the back... Theres a banner nomination in store if it looks period. I'd easily trade a detector for it if its Rev War period.... Serious on the offer too...

I tried to get a back photo, but it was dark.
    It's guaranteed period,and I wouldn't trade it.
