1820's house - 1889 IH & 1800's button w/eagle

I detected at the 1820's house again today. It was in the 30's this morning and soil was still frozen solid as a rock in some places. It took me 6 hours to squeak by with these finds for the day. Nothing too great but I was happy to get an 1800's coin again (1889 IH), and the 1800's flat button with "Gilt" and an eagle on the back. Another large metal decorative button, but it has a rusted iron backing. Old copper spoon that has seen better days. A hood ornament from a Buick Riviera.
Yada, yada, yada.
Headed back on Monday if it doesn't rain. :toothy2:

Thanks for looking,
MM

Thanks Q.
I'm feeling it today though. I'm sore from digging in that cold, but slept like a baby. :sleepy2: :binkybaby:
Monday is looking a bit iffy on weather. I may have to take to the woods instead at my other spot to try to find some more CW relics. At least I'll have protection from the wind.

Thanks for that ID. I had another member tell me it was part of an oil lamp so we'll consider this whats-it solved. :occasion14:

It has to feel good, just to get out and beep again. Nice finds Doug!

Mike,
I have to take advantage of any day I can during the spring, fall, and winter months. It gets way too hot, humid, and buggy here in NC in the summer as you know. That heat is not for me. :sunny:
You guys have to have some pretty solid ground over your way.
Sally sends her love. :love1:

Nice finds MM! The copper whatsit looks like an oil lamp top where the wick went through and it looks like you found the wick adjuster as well. HH, Mike
