Hi everyone... I met up with local "Egmano" here on TNet, visited the 1840 home that I detected about a 2yrs ago with my BH where I got a bunch of wheaties and a rough 1823 key date Matron Head (I'll post a pic of that from my 1st visit). This time took my new Garrett GTAx550 and Dave brought his Minelab Quattro.

I ended up with 4 wheaties and one nice Merc.

Edgemano dug out one wheatie and a nice 1835 Matron Head Large Cent at around 8 inches. Sorry, no pic here (he took the coin with him) LOL!
I think that'll clean up pretty good too. Hopefully he'll get around to posting it.

I've been noticing a lot of nice finds these past few weeks! Isn't it grand! ;D

Chris

Great digs. My experience with these places is you have to walk very slowly and cover every inch. I've even set up chalk line and followed it back and forth. You'd be shocked at how much is missed.

Good stuff! That Matron's mighty nice, all right... but look at it this way: at least your gal's younger and better looking!

That sounds like a productive site, Diggin. A large cent with a readable date is a nice large cent. ;)
