very cool finds, the collar insignia looks similiar to the army field artillery collar insignia, I think it is upside down in the picture.

It's an insignia to show what branch of the military you're serving in that goes on the lapel of the uniform. In this example with crossed cannons it's for field artillery.
Other examples are crossed rifles for infantry, chemical retorts for the chemical corps, etc...
