Hello All,
Been awhile since i have posted, went out today with my step-son. Right off the bat he pulled a 14K gold band(France).
We found a few other things, besides the ring. I excited about the buckle looking thing at the top of the picture. I have found them before, but there normally in pieces. Other picture with hole, was something huge, very big. The knob area on the corner, looked like the top of a railroad tie. However it was just to big, for the tools we had on hand. Maybe one day we can go back with a shovel. Was a great day, hope everyone is doing well. Happy Hunting

Say dad,
I really admire you a father getting a son or a daughter involved in the art of metal detection.
It's a great avenue to introduce to a young persons mind that high adrenaline feeling of adventure, dreams and the final stage of the activity the discovery.
Something a child will always remember through out all his life is an adventure with dad.
I still remember the few hunts I went on with my father long ago. :headbang:

I believe you are correct, I looked up a few old pictures, and seen some that were almost a perfect match, Thanks
Worth bring up, to find any markings?

Thanks again,
