1st Barber Half with token & Barber Dime stuck together

Hello everyone, this is my first time on this site. Please bear with me. A friend of mine from our club invited me to one of his hunting spots and I made a great find. In 15 years of detecting I hadn't found a barber half, this day would change that. What makes this even better is that stuck to the half is a good for token and a barber dime as well. In the photo you can see the remnents of maybe some cloth. I seached the area really well as the dirt had been disturbed by a back hoe. No more coins though. Later I will seperate the items and check for mint marks and the token info. The half is 1906, and the dime is 1912, both will probably be S mints because they were found in San Francisco. I found a number of other items but will not post at this time. I also found a chevy token from 1954. If anyone has any advice to a newbee on this forum, please write. Thanks All

I'm not sure how to get it apart, but that is awesome! Post it up after you get them apart, please! Again, THAT IS AWESOME! HH

Cool. The pattern on the debris looks like a cloth pattern. Perhaps it was in a pocket or cloth satchel.

You guys are just too patient. :icon_scratch:

I would have soaked and separated those things when I found them.

But that's just impatient "me." :read2:

That's what you call a token sandwich! I'm sure someone will tell you what to soak your sandwich in. Very good dig!

Any way you can post a photo of the 8 scallop token?
Going through withdrawals, haven't been out detecting in a while.
Kudos on the finds.

was an S, as for the token, I need some help. You can see in the photo that its a brass scalloped token. It is Good for 5 in Trade
the back simply says Poly Cafeteria. Help if you can. Thanks

Pretty sweet find(s)!! Never seen a token in a pocket spill, especially stuck together like that. Beautiful! Any pics of the cleaned coins?

I'm in San Francisco as well; maybe I'll see you out there one day. Welcome to the forum!
