1865 trooper button[silver] and coins[silver] and relics

hi everyone.been busy this week with work and school.got out this afternoon for a few hours.its winter here but the weather still holds.16 c today.anyway i went to the long gully police station today.its a house now but theres a large public reserve near by,so i went for a bit of a look. the police station was used from 1857-1920.i found a few coins, all english silver around the 1870s mark in poor condition and a few brass relics, glass beads and a SILVER 1865 TROOPERS BUTTON.its an officers button. i went to see a local historian to i.d the button and he seemed very interested but i didn,t tell him the spot i found it in and most of you would understand why.took some pic of finds and i,m going to see the owner of the police station tonight to see i can get perm. to m.d

Nice finds TP, that trooper badge sounds interesting! I found a few glass beads similar to yours on Sunday here in Germany. I think mine are around 300ish years old, could yours be Aborigine? HH, Mike

hi everyone got a phone call early on the trooper button. it came from a regiment called THE RUPERTSWOOD BATTERY and was later called THE SUNBURY REGIMENT VICTORIAN HORSE ARTILLEREY 1865 -1889
