I went back down to the old city park where they dug 8" of top dirt off and went over it for the third time. I slowed my sweep down to a crawl this time since I had all day. The bottom right in the first picture is a large copper piece with a bulldog protruding out, also a 1928 buffalo, a 1907 indian, 3-1919 wheaties, a piece of jewelry, a part of a porcelain doll body that says Germany 1-1/2 on back (the body was in the ground and the bulldozer smashed the head), the long flat copper thing in the middle of the second picture has patent dates starting Sep 10 184? and 11 listed dates later ends with Oct 9 185?. Nov 21 1855 is the only full date I can make out. Also a neat little tootsie truck.

Clump63, I found a metal bar similar to what i see in your pic and there are raised letters on the edge. I surmised that it was type for a newspaper?

The one above the bulldog is I think, I've found similar ones with different type on them. This one has a very short type on the very end on the edge, I havn't been able to make out what it says.
