Did a few small hunts this weekend with pl8man and by myself. Despite having strep throat :'(, I still had to hunt for a little bit at least. I went back to the same turf I found my first gold "anything" at, which was almost a year ago. I made just a quick circle around the field and I hit a nice repeatable +12-+14 just as I was makin' a line towards the truck. Knew it was gold as soon as I saw the noncorroding metal peekin' through the side :tongue3:. I ran to take some pics with my phone cam , but they didn't come out that good. I kinda took my time takin' it out of the hole, just trying to savor the moment. (Get your mind outta the gutter you) since I was by myself. Turned out it was a religious pendant. It wasn't marked, so on Sunday pl8man brought his test kit and its a confirmed 14K. The pendant weighs 3.2 grams. Clad total was weak, but considering I only hunted for about 15 minutes. Then on Sunday I felt even worse but I wanted to find a ring so bad. I hit some new turf really quick and found rings #22 and #23 for the year. 23 Was a +82 and I was thinkin quarter but prayin ring. Then BAM , a nice 1/4 wide ring marked sterling and with some name inside. I am not sure if its the company name or a persons name. Thanks for checkin' out my digs!! :)

I haven't found any gold yet, but must be pretty exciting to see the shine right of the dirt...

Cheers
