(2 tone ferrous) the big looking silver disk I found was about 6 to 7 inches deep. its not a coin but looks like one! the glass looking pipe was found on top of the ground. 2 tone ferrous is very unique! you must swing slow! and listen! I am going to hit the groves hard tomorrow and see if I can pull a silver out finally! I do believe 2 tone ferrous hits deeper targets than coin mode!

you might be surprised on that disc...last coin i had that looked just like that turned out to be a seated liberty qtr (1855). Found it in florida - thought it was a washer but went ahead and did electrolysis.

Ya you defiantly want to take a closer look at that disk. Try weighing it. I pulled up a walking half last year that that was melted in a fire it looked just like that. The only way I could tell it was a walker was that I could just make out a little bit of the sun by the liberty's leg. It should weigh about 12.5 grams if it is silver.

seriously, you can build a cheap electrolysis rig with an old cell phone charger and a couple of alligator clips. Give that disc a good cooking and you might be surprised whats under that rusty side. I'm guessing a seated or a barber half, but I've been wrong before....you can also do the olive oil soak, but that could take awhile...Let us know what it turns out to be...

I see reeds around the diameter too. Looks like a coin or maybe an old token ??? I'd give that one a carefull, hard look ::)
