Hmm I looked at burnsides and they seem to be fatter, and this head is very rounded.
The measurements are exactly 3/4 inch long by 1/2 inch wide.

RH, Dman and I found some of them before on a scouting expedition and were puzzled also. A local relic dealer told us they were post CW and from the 1880s and later on up to the 1920s. They looked like yours but without good measurements, I may be totally incorrect. . Very few CW bullets have rounded tops. Still a good find, HH.
