Dad was away & Land-Mag & I decided to do a couple of freshly ploughed strips at our local Farm Shop. I wasn't expecting much as it was a area we had done, although the plough always helps. So I was surprised & over the moon with the following finds:

Roman Steelyard balancing arm.
Nice Georgian Key
Penny of Richard II? :icon_thumright:
Unusual Silver Jetton from Germany, copying our threepence of Victoria. Made by Lauer in Nurenberg. :)

Plus a cracking hammered of Henry III, only my 2 Irish Hammered ever :headbang: Minted in Dublin by moneyer Richard. (my only other example is broken in half)

When I find a hammered I need it really makes the 3 hours worthwhile ;D

UPDATE:

I've looked up the Jetton/Token in my book & they are described as 'model coins' & are iron core & silver plated. I looked at the hole very carefully & see no signs of plating, in fact the opposite. So it looks like I have a solid Silver version that's not catalogued :headbang:

definitely doesn't look plated from here.. the side of the hole where the metal is protruding looks silver

Exactly, plus if it were Iron core it would have rusted out the hole where it was exposed for 100ish years  Its my first Silver Jetton & I like it a lot :icon_pirat:

Very beautiful finds, and the Irish is in very good state, congratulations.

Here we have a huge low pressure coming in, so no searching for a while.

Terrific find Crusader. That's great to be the owner of uncatalogued finds. It's one pretty little coin.
