Dad was away & Land-Mag & I decided to do a couple of freshly ploughed strips at our local Farm Shop. I wasn't expecting much as it was a area we had done, although the plough always helps. So I was surprised & over the moon with the following finds:
Roman Steelyard balancing arm.
Nice Georgian Key
Penny of Richard II?
Unusual Silver Jetton from Germany, copying our threepence of Victoria. Made by Lauer in Nurenberg.
Plus a cracking hammered of Henry III, only my 2 Irish Hammered ever Minted in Dublin by moneyer Richard. (my only other example is broken in half)
When I find a hammered I need it really makes the 3 hours worthwhile
