20 minutes & 13 Inches Deep!

The story goes me & the wife were going back home to visit family today. And I figured I'd take the detector with me & try some sites back home.Well long story short we ended up spending time with the family most the day.Anyway on the way back home I told her I was going to try a spot I knew about.I only had about 20 minutes before dark.So I pulled off the road grabed the detector & jumped a canal to get to the old site. It's a site that when I lived back home I dug some snap pontial bottles at.First target was the neat little button then the large copper nail.It was getting hard to see by now but the next one was the Matron Head it was down there pushing 13". The watch part was in the same hole with it.So I got me a little time in and some fast recoveries in a short amount of time. I'm looking forward to getting back to the site some time soon & give it a good go.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:

Twenty minutes, a coin and button. Bet you'll be back there in your sleep tonight... Nice, it should always be that easy... Arty

Nice find Pete, 20 mins well spent.

Just curious, still getting used to my explorer. Did you get a good repeatable signal from that coin at that depth?

I have never dug a button that looked like that. Very nice finds for a 20 minute hunt Pete. You have a good wife that will wait for you in the car whilst you detect. :headbang: I have one of those too, ;D Take care, Mike

Yep but that piece of watch part was down in there as well Bob.Heavy back as tar dirt as well, the coin was down to a layer that changed from the black dirt to a light sand clay mix resting on that layer past the handle of my spade 12''.
