Firstly your on fire this year in terms of hammered. (Dad & I searched 19 combined hours this weekend with none)
I need to come visit you, at this time of year :-*

Here are a few basics for you.

The 'Cross' side or the 'Reverse' of the coin has the Mint information (& moneyer on earlier coins). So the 'Tas', is common to most coins as its part of CIVITAS (Meaning City of...) The next part on your coin is ...TAS/L - so the start of LONDON (one of the most common mints).

The 'Obverse' gives you the clues for the ID. In this case, not enough to narrow it down, as it shows ?R ANGL DN. Which many long cross coins have. Although its fairly safe to say its one of the Edwards. :icon_thumright:
