Some nice salvage and thrift store finds today

Went on a salvage dive at a burned out tavern/liquor store that was open for over 80 years before a fire last year. Got enough scrap copper, brass, aluminum, and steel to fill the van, and netted $100 at the scrapyard for 3.5 hrs digging. Bonus find was this cool old sign that hung outside the building in the late 40's and early 50's. Somehow, it survived the fire and the water damage.

Took some of the cash I earned and hit up a local thrift store. Found this Delft mug for 75 cents, and a complete set of lapis lazuli jewelry, set in .950 silver for $3.55. Went to the manufacturers website, and they retail the set for $351.05. Nice little 10,000% ROI.

I love them thrift stores; you never know what kind of deal you're going to get. I hit all of them around our town about once a week.

Cleaned it up today and hung it out in front of my house. Can't wait for the first neighbor to complain that I'm running a bar out of the house.

Glad you're posting more of your unique adventures and finds! Your lapis jewelry set is stunning! Someone will enjoy wearing that whether you sell it or give it as a gift. Or just keep it because that quality will not decrease in value over time. Andi
