UPDATED Pics so they are forum friendly. I was using photbucket before and now know its a no no. Thanks Don H!

Man what a day. Decided to go out after work for a few hours to pound some fields i've been detecting for a while now. Decided to concentrate on the perimeters of the fields and wound up hitting pay dirt with my first ever spanish silver AND my oldest coin all at once. I though it was a gaming token (I didn't find anything else all day). It was an honest 10+ inches down but the explorer sniffer her out real good. Still can't believe Im holding something thats 303 years old. Colonial silver at its best! Man this thing is a beaut. :o Thanks for looking!

Re: 303 Year old Silver!!

Jim , First of all..........AWESOME!!! You're really killin' it down there! But something is bothering me on this coin. I'm no expert by any means, but your coin is dated 1708---Charles III, I believe. Didn't Charles The 3rd's reign start in 1716?? :icon_scratch: :dontknow: Maybe someone who knows alittle more can chime in. It's possible you have a CFT. coin. If so, this could be worth well more than a Regal piece! Wait to see what Don or IP says. Hogge
