I got permission to hunt my neighbors yard today. The yard is pretty small but you never know where the old stuff will show up. The coin totals are - 2 quarters, 2 dimes, 6 new cents, and a 1957D wheatie. I also found two brass valves, 1968 dog tag, and a Wade ceramic parrot. The find of this yard is the flat button. It is back marked - ANDREW JACKSON MARCH 4 1829. The shank was on this when I dug it but it fell off in my pouch. It was not a bad small yard after all. Thanks for looking! DD

You may be a little upset about the shank on that one when you see that the button you dug has some $$ value. It is never a bad idea to keep an old medicine bottle filled with cotton balls to keep finds from being damaged after recovery.

That is a really nice find.

Best Wishes,

Buckles
