I got 50 dollars in halfs today at the bank. No silver, but i did find a beautiful uncirculated 2000 S proof half dollar. Worth about 9 dollars i think.

Well isn't *that* just about the strangest thing...

The thing is, once it makes it into circulation, you can't call it a proof anymore. I realize they only made these in proof issues, but..... now it isn't.

It is still considered a proof coin, but a dealer would call it an 'impaired proof'
