Hi TN , Mill Hunt 8 Every dog gets his day ::) well almost , rained out early . Few hours Thursday and today , Fri 4-8-11 , two searches in sun and rain produced mostly buttons and a few relics . The 18th century mill is swarming with ticks & bugs , but I will spray " Deep Woods Off " and destroy all them suckers to get a find like the button in fourth pic , a 13 th Infantry Regimental; 1798-1802 Period. US Regulars , one piece pewter . Pic 2 , humpback buckle circa 1860's , Thanks Quindy . 1819 large cent dug but AU ;D . Thanks for stopping in :headbang: CMD Dawg

Nice bunch of finds in good conditions :icon_thumright:

The button doesn't look like a typical hunts/sports button. Just going on the image, it might show a pioneer with all his kit & arms in the air for freedom & rejoice (so political could be an option :dontknow: ). That however is just a guess, the backmark makes me think its post 1900, but I have no evidence documenting that backmark so I'm a little unsure.
