Hi all
I hear the shovels and the picks, and all the air is rife,
With the rattle of the craddles and the sounds of a diggers life;
The chatter of the windlass-boles, as spinning round they go,
And then the signal to his mate, the digger's cry "Below!"
From many a busy pointing-forge the sounds of labour swells,
The tinkling at the anvils is as clear as silver bells.
Piece from Henry Lawson {poet} "Eureka"
This piece reflexs the blacksmith shop and gold diggings of site i am hunting at the moment. Over the last 12 days i have been quite busy . Finds
1826 farthing , Crysall Ice works Pick , Silver sixpence 1847, silver shilling 1853, Half penny token and a couple Vicky pennies. black power lead balls , 10 grams of gold largest piece 3 grams and a gold wieght.
