I found this badge looking lump on laundry day. I figured it was one of the fire badges the insurance companys used to give away so I tossed it in with the junk. I sorted through the junk and saw it in there. I sorta forgot about finding it because it looked like junk. I noticed a couple letters on the front. I figured I should clean it up a bit. I couldn't believe what was under all that crud. There's a new deputy sheriff in town and I guess it's me! Is this something that is legal to own? Thanks for looking! DD.

That small it is probably a plain clothes deputy small enough to fit in a badge and commission card case. At my former PD they issued a full size badge, but a detective was allowed to purchase the smaller one for ease of carry. Too bad it don't have a number, someone probably would love to have it back.
