Fade back 2 weeks, I found a 1909 wheat no vbd or s. 1 week ago found a 1909 IH no S mark. Today About 6 inches down I got a 1916 Mercury dime and it has a D mint mark. Happy? Yes thrilled. Its in AG condition so it's not pretty. I don't have picture posting skills, but I'm working on it. Also found out that my Lionel train set from the sixties is worth more than the dime. So its been a good day. That is my first key date coin in 4.5 years of detecting and one of my best finds. Wish I started detecting in the 1980's.
