Congrats on your first LC! Hit that area again for sure, there could very well be another LC in the area! FYI I've seen markings like that before on a LC and it was done by a rototiller.

That's why we're willing to tuff out the mosquitos and ticks and heat or whatever other elements are out there, these kind of finds make it all worth while.

Thanks everyone. I was able to identify the button today. The backmark says "Benedict & Burnham". It dates between 1834 and 1843. This company eventually became Waterbury.
