Ok what is this spoon had of ? i found it in a river bed while bottle huntin today.It looks like gold to me ! :o
The scanner makes it look like copper.It looks more like gold in real life.The name on it has been worn down so bad its unreadable :'( is there anyway i can test it to see if it is gold?

You can purchase a gold testing kit, they are relatively inexpensive. Or if you know a jeweler take it to him, he can test it.

Save yourself the cost of the kit, take it by a pawn shop that buys scrap gold and silver they'll test it for you. It only takes them a few seconds. They are usually more than happy to oblige.

Really good advice Ramapirate!!, I have become on a first name basis with my local pawn shops. When it tests as gold I shop around for the best prices to sell if the need arises. RH
