I hit an old school yard with a couple buddies and I found what I believe to be a piece of a Counterfeit Morgan Dollar. I think that it is made of lead and some other crappy metals. The other side is toasted.

Here is a really nice example of an 1885 CFT. Morgan I found 2 years ago. Also found a CFT. Large cent at the same site. These nice, complete examples , actually do have some value as there is a collector base for these counterfeits.

Pretty amazing find actually, wonder where the rest of it is? Whole it probably would have had some collector value. Still has personal, obviously, just sayin...would been nice to find the rest to compare to other period fakes.
