Ok, here we go! I decided to pay a visit to the old train station today. Half of metal detecting I have learned thus far is visualizing where the goods are. I enjoy just driving and thinking about the past history and go from their.
Ive been metal detecting for about a week and a half now, and am starting to figure out the Tesoro Silver U-Max. I got a lot of clad today but no old ones. Then Wham, a loud beep. The kind that spelled LOVE! I struck Gold! A Gold Bangle bracelet! Holy Sh*@! ... After I patched up the grass I continued on. Then the same thing happened again! About 3 feet away, no really! It was the LOVE beep! all over again! I found another GOLD Bangle bracelet???? I sure did. I could not believe it! The Bangle bracelets are marked 14k G.H. Mexico! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!! Not bad for a Rookie,
I also payed a visit today at the Idaho Historic Museum and have acquired maps of Boise Idaho from the late 1800's, and 1900's. Way Cool!!!! Please see photos of todays finds!
Kind Regards, Marvin, In Idaho

Nice bangles. Must have been one heck of a break up. I hope the G. H. are the maker's initials, not spanish for gold filled or plated or anything like that. Your woman will love you.

Congrats on finding the set. I'd hit that area real hard hoping that it may have been a set of 3 or more that were lost. Those were definitely worn together at one time. (and probably lost together too)

Very well done..... for a rookie. :icon_pirat:

Thank you for the replys. I will go back to re-swing. I had my settings on Disc, just on 1cent. I have found that on the "Tab" setting I still pull way to much trash. When I pull a tab out, I just re-swing it at it's Insitu spot, and listen to what it does, and then adjust the disc mode just past that/ Chitty Chitty Chirp sound. I have a question???? Do old silver coins give the same Beep sound as regular dimes quarters pennys? And secondly, do Silver coins tend to work their way deeper. Think I will go to a coin shop and buy a few silver ones and swing on them for practice. Stay Tuned, ..... :coffee2:

my first gold was a double too but a chain and a ring.

Great job.

Tesoro loves the free advertisement too. Keep plugging them with all your finds maybe they'll give you something… ;D
