Your last posting probably confirms what I was going say: At best, it is "put together" turquoise. That means it is small pieces set in plastic or epoxy. If you have the least bit of interest, take a hot needle and poke it in the back of the stone slightly, and if you smell plastic then you know. Prettly well looks like something put together. My attitude: cool find, and it is good practice so you can come up with the 8 gram gold ring. Sorta like practicing on little fish so you are good when the big one comes by.
