I met up with Lee and Larry to hunt a local park that I wasn't in the mood to hunt. I had made good finds there in the past, but have been focusing on another park as of late. I'm sure glad they picked that park to hunt today. I scored a 1911 V Nickel, 5 Indian Heads, and 6 wheat pennies. Then I got tired of swinging the coil and decided to call it a day.

Then right as I walk in the door Keith calls up and is near town and wanting to hunt, so of course I take him to the other park that I have been hitting recently. I scored 5 more wheats, 2 more Indian Heads, and an 1892 Barber Dime! :)

The dates on the coins are as follows:

Indian Heads
1880
1890
1892 (2)
1894
1896
1901

Wheats
1910
1911
1912
1918D
1919 (2)
1923
1940
1944D
1952D
and one that I lost in the trunk of my car, haha, oh well

I also found 7 memorials and one clad dime.

I'm gunning for your doyboy!! The 7 I got today brings my total to 37 for the year! :)

If you don't stop that, you will have at least 50 IH's before long. ;D

Don't suppose you would share your secret? :D

Yup... my secret is simple.... use a Minelab Explorer... Most of the coins that I find aren't detected by other machines when I show them exactly where to put their coil.

What a day, bud! Bsco, we are going to be fighting for that title. That XS is kicking some serious ass. I use a White's Pro-XL.

Man you're doing great with that XS. When I see finds like this it makes me even sadder that mine is in the shop right now getting fixed. Once I get it back and fiddle with the settings so I don't find so much magnetite, I am psyched to get out there with it.

Actually last night at the hunted out site that I keep stubbornly hitting, the place just yielded its first Barber, an 1897 dime, to my Tejon :-)

Keep those great pics coming. HH,

It is definately a machine that will bring you some great finds once you learn it. It took me several months before I found a silver coin or more than one wheat penny on a day out. But now I just seem to expect this stuff to come out of the ground.

It's out there... just keep on digging! :):):)

Wow, great finds, love those indian head pennies.

I have found nearly 50 indian head pennies this year here in
ohio. But i'm using the ACE 250. By the way I have found over
150 wheaties with this machine this year.

Well keep us posted on your finds and hope you get to
50 before the year is out and i'll bet you will!
