I managed to get out on the new field for about 4 hours this morning. Straight away the finds started coming ;D, I really don't think this field has been detected before as most of the finds are only about 3 inches deep. Todays haul was very varied, the only thing I didn't get was a hammered, but the silver roman made up for that. This is my first roman silver and I don't know who it is yet, although it is quite worn so that may take some time. I also found a couple of Macaroni (Dandy) buttons with a lot of gilt still on them and an amazingly large horse shoe, anyway on with the pics :laughing7:

1. Roman obverse

2. Reverse

3. The rest of todays milled coins, including a George 2 ha'penny

4. A couple of roman scrappies

5. The best of todays buttons

6. Todays lead finds

7. And finally, todays artifacts

Thanks for looking
